Brothers to Brutha was a BET reality series that premiered on November 18th, 2008 which only lasted one season, though a second season has been mentioned on youtube. The show followed five brothers who signed a record deal on Island Def Jam Music group as the R and B band 'Brutha.' The brothers are Grady Harrell, Anthony Harrell (lead singer), Cheyenne 'Papa' Harrell (other lead singer), Jared Overton, and Jacob Harrell. The brothers were born and raised in South Central Los Angeles. They weren't the only siblings in fact, for in total their family had 13 siblings in it. The brothers sang and danced since they were just young kids and were often compared to the Jackson 5. Many within their family are failed musicians themselves, so the brothers feel that they must prove themselves, and set themselves apart. Will they be able to accomplish their dreams and repair their fractured family, or will the attempt end in failure? The first season was six episodes long and received mixed reviews.
