Boston Med is an eight part TV series airing in June of 2010 on the ABC network. It is a medical documentary preceded by another similar series called Hopkins and done by the same production team who were awarded a Peabody. Now Boston Med takes over in the same vein as a similar documentary television series about the woven lives within the Boston medical world. The show takes a behind the scene glimpse into three different Boston hospitals used for teaching by Harvard Medical School: Children's Hospital, Brigham and Women's and Mass General. For four months camera crews filmed the real life intensity of the everyday emergencies of ER nurses, the self doubting interviews of young doctors, and scared patients who are maybe even the firsts in receiving new groundbreaking procedures. Here the touching moments of saving a life, and the devastation of maybe losing one, is all candid and true.
