Bewitched

Bewitched is a sitcom about Darrin Stephens and his wife Samantha (Elizabeth Montgomery), who happens to be a witch, their nosy and suspicious neighbors Gladys Kravitz and Abner, Samantha's antogonist mother Endora, and practical joker uncle Arthur. Darrin is a regular joe, and though Samantha promises on their wedding night to stop using her powers and become a normal suburban housewife, she can't resist using her powers. Samantha's mother Endora doesn't approve of her marriage to the mortal Darrin and uses her spells to try to end the marriage. The magic usually goes awry and often at the expense of Darrin, though him and Samantha always reconcile at the end. Samantha became a classic character, well known for her signature nose twitch when she casts spells. The series was a hit and ran for 8 seasons, leading to live action and animated spinoffs featuring Darrin and Samantha's children Adam and Tabitha. MORE
