Beautiful People is an ABC Family original television series that aired from August 8, 2005 to August 24, 2006. The series focus on Lynn Kerr and her children at a time just after her husband abandons them all. Deciding to make a new life for herself and her kids, Lynn moves her family from a small town in New Mexico to the big city lights of New York City. Lynn's youngest daughter, Sophie, receives a scholarship and is able to attend an upper-class school, but soon finds out that it can be hard for a small country girl to mix with the elites of New York. Lynn's eldest daughter, Karen, decides to throw herself into the modeling world, but is also given a rude awakening when she finds out that the competition can be extremely fierce and friends are not easy to come by. As for Lynn herself, she takes up a position in the fashion industry, working for an up-and-coming designer. Unfortunately, the position requires her to work closely with an ex flame. At its heart, Beautiful People is the classic fish-out-of-water tale set in the mean metropolitan streets of New York. Their new world may present it's fair share of challenges, but at least the Kerr girls have themselves to get through it all.MORE
