BBQ Pitmasters is a reality cooking competition television show that airs on TLC. If you love BBQ and love eccentric people, then this show is the perfect combination of both. The series premiered in 2009 and follows hand selected competitors from all over the country who claim to have the best BBQ recipes on the planet and possibly the universe. The contestants compete head-to-head in different competition categories. Each competition has a certain time limit in which the pitmasters and their crews must create delicious, mouth watering, BBQ concoctions for the judges. Such categories include BBQ chicken, BBQ brisket, BBQ pulled pork and much, much more. Each round consists of cooking one traditional meat and one more exotic one. The winner of the entire competition is awarded with a trophy, bragging rights, and a check for $100,000.
