Baldwin Hills is a reality documentary on BET that follows the lives of a group of affluent African-American teenagers residing in Baldwin Hills, an upscale, primarily Black neighborhood in Los Angeles, California. The group is composed of individuals with a great range of personalities, from hard-working to spoiled rotten. Some of them like to study hard and party hard, while some like to skip the studying part and just party all the harder to make up for it. These lucky teenagers split their time between school, shopping, the beach, parties, and cruising around in high-end luxury vehicles. Over the three seasons that have aired since 2007, the cast of Baldwin Hills has faced, on camera, a lot of relationship drama, family drama, break-ups and make-ups, and a little bit of growing up, too. Throughout the seasons, viewers get to watch as the overly entitled teens live their unusual lives, but deal with some pretty usual issues for teenagers—from pimples to curfews to grades to dating. Baldwin Hills has been called the “African-American version” of MTV’s The Hills.MORE
