Baking With Julia

Baking with Julia is a cooking show that aired on PBS from 1996 to 1999, with a run time of four seasons. Produced by culinary legend Julia Child, whom the hit feature film Julie & Julia is based on, each episode features one pastry chef or other sort of baker, who demonstrates professional techniques that can be used at home to make one’s baked goods even more delicious. Child shares recipes, time-tested tips and her own personal techniques with viewers, in an attempt to help budding bakers all across the United States of America learn how to make hearty whole grain breads, fluffy golden muffins, rich focaccia, dainty petits fours, and many more breads, cookies, and cakes. With eighty-five-year-old Child’s natural charm and schoolmarm personality, the show became an instant hit.
