Baccano!

Baccano! is an animated fantasy adventure TV series developed by Brain's Base based on a light novel by Ryohgo Narita that centers on multiple tales weaving around an elixir of immortality and the problems that unfold as many seek its power. In 1711, a group of alchemists, including the malicious and manipulative Szilard and the intelligent leader Maiza Avaro, summoned a demon to grant them the formula for immortality, a gift that would leave them undying except for being devoured by another immortal. When twenty-nine of the thirty decide to keep the secret solely for themselves, Szilard begins to devour the others in the hopes of gaining the full formula and causes the surviving immortals to hide all over the world. Determined to find the others, Szilard manages to recreate a half-potent immortality elixir, only to have it stolen and taken by a number of gangsters and the Gandor family, who have absolutely no idea what they've stolen. With seemingly bulletproof gangsters and a desperate immortal alchemist, Baccano! is a puzzle of a story with paths winding and crossing at random moments in the hunt for eternal life. MORE
