Archie Bunker's Place

Archie Bunker's Place is the CBS sitcom and continuation of the popular series All in the Family, where the stories move from the famous Bunker home to the neighborhood tavern that Archie Bunker (Carroll O'Connor) purchased and named Archie Bunker's Place. Archie bought the bar during All in the Family from Tommy Kelsey, taking on a partner Murray Klein (Marin Balsam). The pair try to increase their customer base by adding on a restaurant to serve food to regular patrons like Barney Hefner, Hank Pivnik, and Edgar Van Ranseleer. Archie uses his bar to vent his views and socialize and support his friends. When his partner Murray gets married and moves to San Francisco, Gary Rabinowitz (Barry Gordon) takes over as Archie's business partner, providing a liberal counterpoint to Archie's conservative views. The show had many memorable moments, such as when Archie learns to deal with Edith passing away, and the Thanksgiving Reunion where the original cast of All in the Family return to share a Thanksgiving dinner.
