Angelina Ballerina is an animated children’s television series on PBS, based off of a popular children’s book series by author Katherine Holabird and illustrator Helen Craig, about a theatrical mouse with a passion for ballet. Angelina Mouseling (Finty Williams) is an aspiring ballerina who can most often be found clad in a pink leotard, pink tutu, pink hair ribbon, and pink slippers, dancing. Angelina dreams of becoming the best ballerina that Mouseland has ever seen and she pursues her big dream with dedication and a lively spirit. Such lofty ambitions can mean quite a lot of work, as Angelina soon realizes, but luckily for the young, gray mouse, she has a strong base of family, friends, and teachers to help her along the way. From the publication of the first book in the 20 book series in 1983, to the production of the 39 episode television series by HIT Entertainment in the United Kingdom in 2002, to today, when episodes air regularly on PBS, Angelina Ballerina has found a place in the hearts of children across the world.MORE
