America’s Game: The Super Bowl Champions, is a annual series of documentaries that chronicle each championship team of the National Football League. From the 1966 Green Bay Packers to the 2009 Saints, the series breaks down the entire season for each champion using NFL Film’s best footage, and a treasure trove of insider commentary. Along with overall narration by one of Alec Baldwin, Bruce Willis, Martin Sheen, Gene Hackman, Kevin Bacon, and Donald Sutherlandm each episode contains extensive commentary by 3 of the men who played major roles in their team’s triumph. For the 1975 Pittsburgh Steelers, Lynn Swann, Dwight White, and Mike Wagner contribute stories. For the 1986 Giants, Lawrence Taylor is present, along with Phil Simms, and of course, Bill Parcells. Even the normally tight-lipped Bill Belichick for the 2004 Patriots’ installment. More than just a chronological series, America’s Game also ranks each superbowl champion in terms of its overall greatness.
