American Loggers

American Loggers is a documentary reality show from Discovery Channel that follows the "real-men-in-danger" television-programming trend. The show features the gritty Pelletier brothers, loggers that work the dangerous timber harvest in the vast wilderness of the North Maine Woods. Pelletier Inc. is comprised of seven brothers and their sons whose stake in the timber industry goes back three generations. Together, the brothers journey into the unblemished backcountry with mammoth machinery with the goal of cutting down colossal stacks of wood while attempting to maintain their safety in the process – a daunting task. The danger doesn't stop there, as the brothers then secure these large hauls onto trucks, which take flight down the icy, unpaved backcountry roads to the lumber mills. The job is dangerous and unpredictable, pitting each employee of Pelletier Inc. at a daily struggle to escape the woods alive.
