American Gladiators

American Gladiators is the 2008 NBC remake of the original game show where hosts Hulk Hogan and Laila Ali bring you gladiator games where contestants go up against the new gladiators like Crush (Gina Carano), Phoenix (Jennifer Widerstrom), Beast and Mayhem. The challengers are two men and two women per episode, consisting of normal folks who think they have what it takes to challenge the gladiators. The weekend warrior contestants go up against the professional gladiators, who are martial artists, wrestlers, and trained athletes. The tests challenge the strength, endurance, and wits of the amateur athletes and gladiators alike, putting them to battle in classic events like The Joust, The Wall, Hang Tough, and the Eliminator. This iconic 90's show is refreshed for the 21st century, upgrading the technology and production as well as adding some twists. The classic action is back and even more high-octane, with more energy and higher stakes as the winner takes home $100,000 and a new SUV.
