Alias Smith and Jones

Alias Smith and Jones is the ABC western TV show that follows two outlaw cousins, Hannibal Heyes (Pete Duel and later Roger Davis) and Kid Curry (Ben Murphy) as they try to turn their lives around and live on the right side of the law. Things are changing and their crimes are getting more difficult to pull off, safes are harder to crack, trains more difficult to hijack, and bounty hunters are getting better at trailing their moves. Heyes is the leader of the Devil's Hole Gang, and when his relationship sours with the other members, him and Curry decide to hang up their outlaw hats. The pair contacts the governor, who agrees to grant them amnesty, but not publicly. He makes them a deal, saying that if they stay out of trouble and prove they have turned around, he will clear them of their charges. In the meantime, they will still be wanted, and will have to still avoid the lawmen, bounty hunters, and detectives who are always hot on their heels.
