Aeon Flux is the animated MTV cartoon series created by Peter Chung, a dystopian future with a latex wearing secret agent from the Monica nation named Aeon Flux. Aeon is on a mission to infiltrate Bregna, where her nemesis and lover Trevor Goodchild is the leader. Monica is anarchistic, while Bregna is a centralized republic. She is an assassin and martial artist, fighting against criminals, clones, and even alien creatures. Beginning as part of MTV's Liquid Television as a six part serial of short films with almost no dialogue, it was brought back in 1995 as a stand-alone series of half-hour episodes. With a gritty anime visual style and graphic violence and sexuality, the series went for three seasons, with standout episodes like Chronophasia, Isthmus Crypticus, Thanatophobia, and The Purge.
