Ace Of Cakes

Ace of Cakes is a Food Network reality show about Duff Goldman's custom cake shop, Charm City Cakes, in Baltimore, Maryland. The show focuses on small-business ownership, working with various vendors, tasting with customers, delivering the product, and most of all, making awesome cakes. The show is one of Food Network's first docu-soap reality series, paving the way for new outside the kitchen studio programs. Ace of Cakes highlights the frantic activity surrounding production of a large number of custom cakes in a short period of time. The staff consists primarily of Goldman's personal friends, who often have to work under the wire, with multiple cakes needing to be done, and sometimes with cakes falling apart as fast as they can make them. Goldman has an informal approach to running Charm City Cakes, using blow torches and power saws to construct his designs. Castles, sports fields, cars, people, there's nothing the team can't make a cake of. In the end, Duff, Mary Alice, and the team at Charm City Cakes always deliver a fantastic and creative dessert.
