10 Items or Less is a comedy series from TBS starring John Lehr, Bob Clendenin, Roberta Valderamma, Jennifer Elise Cox, Christopher Liam Moore, Chris Payne Gilbert, Kim Coles and Greg Davis Jr. The series revolves around the employees of the family-owned Greens & Grains supermarket, which Leslie Pool (John Lehr) inherits after the death of his father. Having to move from New York City back to Ohio to become the owner and manager of the store, Leslie gets more than he bargained for in the eccentric staff. The doofus stockboy (Bob Clendenin) is in love with the produce girl (Roberta Valderrama) while the cashier, checkout bagger, and butcher spend their free time daydreaming about future careers. Greens & Grains faces tough competition from rival Super Value Mart, managed by Leslie’s arch nemesis Amy (Jennifer Elise Cox). The show is partially-scripted and mostly-improvised; the cast is presented a brief outline of a script, but all of the dialogue is improvised. 10 Items or Less was canceled after 3 seasons on TBS.
