Valley Peaks is a wildly melodramatic web series spoof about a young girl who moves away to a sunny local populated with comically shallow people. Taking cheap shots at just about every mid-twenties drama out there, Valley Peaks is both very silly and delightfully sexy. The ensemble cast is led by the extremely naive Brittany Mitchell (Jean-Louise O'Sullivan), who has just moved to Valley Peaks to get over her mother having poisoned her father and killed herself. Perhaps an unconscious reaction to the tragedy, she finds that death follows her whether she wants it to or not, often with hilarious and extremely overacted results. This comedic winner of a series is outrageous from the opening credits on, with the cast having trouble with the in studio wind machine, turning the sexy prop to an even funnier bit. And all hands are deck to create the ridiculous program, from music to direction, and the result is literal laughs from start to finish. Led as well by an ensemble of writer/directors Tanner Beard, Kayvon Esmaili, Phil Donohue, and Philip Jessen, all of whom also star in the show, Valley Peaks is a perfect blend of stupid and really stupid, but the results are just plain funny.
