TV Kanagawa is an independent television station from Japan. It is known as TVK for short and serves the Kanagawa Prefecture and parts of the greater Tokyo area. It was founded on April 20th in 1971. It began to officially broadcast programming on April 1st, 1972. It operates from channel 42 on Japanese airwaves and its call sign is JOKM-TV and JOKM-DTV for its fully digital channel. It is a member of the Japanese Association of Independent Television Stations. Its programs are mainly local information shows, alternative music, local sports, educational show and, of course, anime.
