TV-am was a breakfast television station (known as a morning show in the United States) that broad-casted in England from February 1st 1983 to December 31st 1992. It was the first national operator of a breakfast time ITV franchise, as well as the first and only nation ITV station. It broad-casted 7 days a week from 6:00 AM to 9:25 AM with such shows as 'Daybreak' and 'Good Morning Britain.' It had five show presenters who were also shareholders. They were known as 'The Famous Five.' They were Michael Parkinson, David Frost, Angela Rippon, Anna Ford and Robert Kee. 'TV-am' was headquarted at Hawley Crescent in Camden Town, London. Their studios were called the 'Breakfast Television Centre.' The centre was designed by Terry Farrell who converted it from a car showroom. It had numerous large plastic egg cups on its roof. MORE
