They Might Be Giants is a widely successful alternative rock band from Brooklyn, NY. Originally formed in 1982 by musicians John Flansburgh and John Linnell, They Might Be Giants', or TMBG's carreer has spanned over three decades and the group has sold over 4 million records. Known for their propensity for clever wordplay and unique subject matter, the award winning band has remained relevant throughout the years by changing their focus from conventional mainstream record releases to children's albums. In 1989, Flood was certified platinum, and in 2005, Here Come The ABC's was certified gold, demonstrating the band's longevity and broad musical reach. As well, they received critical accolades as well as financial success for the theme song Boss Of Me from the program Malcolm In The Middle. In 2005, They Might Be Giants began producing a monthly or bi-monthly podcast in which they feature remixes of old songs, new songs, cover songs, skits, and various new entertaining gems they may be cooking up. It seems through the the years that so much that Flansburgh and Linnell's brainchild touches comes up dollar signs, so any new foray into branches of entertainment seems to be a likely success.
