The last thing Stephanie Faith Scott wanted to do was produce a show. At the beginning of 2007, she quit her day job to focus on her acting career. She went on countless auditions. While she felt she was making some headway, she wanted things to take off more quickly. Her husband, Eric Rasmussen, told her to produce her own work. She resisted, barked at him, and resisted again! She knew what producing meant...it meant a lot of hard work! Then one day the idea of the web show just came to her! She wanted a show about unresolved resentment. A vehicle to show what it would be like to confront your demons, but it had to be funny! That show was The Retributioners! Eric loved the idea, and wanted to write and direct it. So they bought a hand held camera on eBay. Then they bought some cheap microphones. Then bought some editing software. Then a new computer to go with their camera and editing software. In August 2007, Stephanie signed a contract with SAG to have her new show under the SAG Internet Signatory Agreement. She wanted to hire the best talent she could find. Steph called her friend, Corinne Fisher, to assist with the directing! She wanted someone on her team who had a love and talent for mockumentaries! Corinne hired Stephanie to act in her own mockumentary, 'Tis the Secret. In November 2007, the pilot episode was shot, with only Eric, Corinne, and two Production Assistants as part of the crew.
