The Guild is an independent American comedy web series originally shared through its website created by Felicia Day that centers on a group of people who spend most of their lives heavily involved with an online massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG). Inspired by Felicia Day's own experience as an avid gamer of the World of Warcraft, the Guild is a humorous depiction of video game addicts as you follow the quirks of the non-confrontational Codex (Felicia Day), slightly stalkery Zaboo (Sandeep Parikh), budget obsessed Vork (Jeff Lewis), lewd high schooler Bladezz (Vincent Caso), ditzy stay-at-home mom Clara (Robin Thorsen), and manipulative Tinkerballa (Amy Okuda). Even though their guild, the Knights of Good, have met in real-life, they still refer to each other by their character name and face off against local opposing guilds. With its launch in 2007, the Guild has gained critical success with a number of awards and nominations, including the 2007 YouTube Video Award for Best Series, the 2008 South by Southwest Greenlight Award for Best Original Production, and 2009 Streamy Awards for Best Comedy Web Series, Best Ensemble Cast in a Web Series, and Best Female Actor in a Comedy Web Series.
