Tate Kids is an extension of Tate art museums in Britain that allows kids to explore and interact with the art world, and even create some of their own. The website has games, films, creative interactives and a gallery to display them in. There are three levels of games for a range of ages. The content is art-based, such as Art Lab or Art Detective that explore historic works, as well as Memento Mori and Tate Tales that focus on interpreting symbols and stories in art works. There is also the opportunity for kids to get creative on their own with painting and drawing games, even taking up the virtual spray paint with a street art program. There is even a MyGallery feature that allows kids to display their art work in a virtual museum. The film selections feature the animated characters Orthus and Art Sparks who accompany viewers through an exploration of artistic concepts.
