Strand Releasing is a company whose goal is to bring quality art films out to the public commercially. It was formed in 1989 by Jon Gerrans and Marcus Hu and has grown steadily since, recently having been honored by a twenty year retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Strand has produced or executive produced ten feature length films so far including 'The Living End,' 'Billy's Hollywood Screen Kiss,' 'Grief,' 'Frisk,' 'I think I do,' 'Pyscho Beach Party,' and 'Innocence.' Its current group of releases includes the Palme D'or winning film 'Uncle Boonmee who can recall his past lives' and 'The life and work of Jack Cardiff.' MORE
