Shout! Factory is an innovative entertainment specializing in back music catalogs, reissues of television shows, and indie or cult classic movies. In 2006, after years of service at Rhino Records, executives and founders Richard Foos, Bob Emmer and Garson Foos started the entertainment distributor, with an eye for creating a specialty music label. However, as the music business was in a period of transition and DVDs were becoming the hot item, they shifted their focus and realized their experience in the music world could help them negotiate and put together difficult deals. Their first release was the now legendary Freaks And Geeks, followed by the brilliant Canadian comedy show SCTV, bith huge successes. The releases to follow would be just as impressive, as the former Rhino boys were able to unleash a Lenny Bruce box set that would be nominated for a Grammy as well as gems such as the film The Sex Pistols' Great Rock'n'Roll Swindle and the entire back catalog of The Marshall Tucker Band, and much more. And of course, they've gotten involved with the online game, with reissues of classic shows like Mystery Science Theater 3000, Father Knows Best, and Elvira's Movie Macabre. With a slew of home runs in their arsenal, it's clear that the highers ups at Rhino got there for a reason, and that Shout! Factory will end up as a higher up of its own. MORE
