Sands Films is a small film production company from England founded by the producer Richard Goodwin and the director Christine Edzard in the early 1970s. It is based out of Rotherhithe in London. It is most known for its production of detailed costumes that have been used in many period dramas. Sands is its own film studio complete with production facilities, a small film stage, a film theatre, picture library, workshops and the afore-mentioned costume whose reputation is international (Hires, Makes and Workrooms). Their costumes have been seen in such films as 'Bel Ami,' 'Vintners Luck,' 'Bright Star,' 'The Young Victoria,' 'Larkrise to Candleford,' 'John Adams,' 'I Vicere,' 'The Duchess,' 'The Golden Age,' 'Becoming Jane,' and 'The Other Boleyn Girl.'
