Ports 1961 is a women's designer clothing label specializing in hip, fashion forward, ready to wear items. Designer Luke Tanabe's brainchild has grown quite a bit since 1961 when he conceived of a luxury women's sportswear line called Ports International. The luxury part has stayed, but Ports 1961, as the moniker became over the years, now offers tops, bottoms, dresses, accessories, and more. From Creative Directors Fiona Cibani and Chief Designer Tia Cibani on down, the line is on the cutting edge of all things fashion. Beyond striking collections debuted at the hottest shows around, Ports 1961 has had placements everywhere, from the movie The Devil Wears Prada to being showcased at the e New York Museum of Modern Art.
