Patagonia is a clothing company founded in 1972 by Yvon Chouinard. Patagonia deals mostly in outdoor clothing for sports like hiking, rock climbing, skiing, camping, and surfing. Patagonia engages in many environmental charities donating 1% of their profits to environmental agencies every year. Patagonia launched the Common Threads Recycling Program in 2005 which aims to make all of Patagonia's clothing out of recycled materials. Patagonia also developed the World Trout Initiative to protect endangered fish.
