Nirvana The Band The Show is a collection of illegally filmed skits from a couple of comedy renegades...or at least that's what they would like you to believe. Jay McCarrol and Matt Johnson are two Canadian goofballs who have set out on a mission to make you laugh, and they don't get permission first. Don't come crying if you feel a bit uneasy watching some of their webisodes; it really seems illegal. If it's not, they've gone through a great deal of trouble to make it seem so. The Nirvana The Band part? Jay plays the piano, so they have a band, and the band is called Nirvana The Band (yeah, not sure how that works with the same name and all). It's not particularly clear if the show has a theme or not, and it's not even clear if these two guys even like each other. Their constant bickering often leads to fighting which often leads to outbursts of laughter from whoever is watching at the time. Jay and Matt travel around Toronto filming improvised scenes, making light of such frivolous topics as anti-Semitism and fatal peanut addiction. You'll laugh, you'll squirm, you probably won't cry, but you'll definitely keep watching. But be sure not to tell anyone, or you'll ruin the whole thing. MORE
