Narciso Rodriguez III is an American fashion designer that was born on January 27th, 1961. He greq up in Newark, New Jersey where He was the only child of Cuban parents. His parents did not understand his interest in fashion and did not want him to become a designer. He ignored their advice and went to the famous New School in New York City where he studied at its art and design school, Parsons. After graduating he worked at Anne Klein and then Calvin Klein before opening his own collection in 1997. His first bout of fame and attention came from when he designed the wedding dress for Carolyn Bessete Kennedy for her wedding to John F. Kennedy Jr. In 2005 Narciso was the first American to ever win the Council of Fashion Designers of america's Womens wear Designer of the Year Award two years in a row. MORE
