The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) is a New York based art museum that specializes in modernist art. Established in 1929 by Abby Aldrich Rockefeller, Lillie P. Bliss and Mary Quinn Sullivan, MoMA became the worldwide leader in the modern art movement. It opened its doors with works by Van Gogh, Gauguin, C'zanne, and Seurat. The museum houses influential modern art pieces including The Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh, Campbell's Soup Cans by Andy Warhol, The Persistence of Memory by Salvador Dal', and Water Lilies triptych by Claude Monet.
