The Gala - Salvador Dali Foundation is a private cultural institution whose mission is to promote, protect and defend painters and their art in Spain and every other country as well. The Foundation was created on December 23rd, 1983 through the express wish of the famous surrealist painter Salvador Dali himself. Dali directed and presided over the Foundation himself up until his death on January 23rd, 1989. Now the President is Ramon Boixados Mal'. The foundation has overseen the creation of new museums, exhibits and libraries furthering the memory and historical presence of Salvador Dali and his wife and muse, Gala. MORE
