FOX Movie Channel is a cable television channel that broadcasts movies commercial-free and in original format. Founded in 1994, the channel wasn't called the FOX Movie Channel until the year 2000. Though the channel does show a wide variety of films that spans numerous film companies, the primary movie content comes from the archives of 20th Century Fox and it's acquired or affiliated studios. While the channel plays films both old and new, the older titles seem to air during the day when audiences are less likely to be watching and the more popular films have reserved, evening, time-slots. The FOX Movie Channel doesn't just show films. The channel also airs numerous shows that center on how Hollywood and the films shown on the channel are made. From interviews with actors and directors to on set behind-the-scenes footage, the shows give the viewer an inside-look at the wonderful world of cinema. MORE
