Exit Art is a non-profit cultural center that has been around for over twenty-eight years and has an independent view of our contemporary culture. Exit Art continually changes with the contemporary shape that currently forms America and adapts its response to the given culture. Exit Art is located in New York City and was founded by its directors Jeanette Ingberman and Papo Colo who have developed Exit Art from its alternative art space movements and into the artistic and culture center that it is today. Exit Art is responsible for identifying and expanding the new trend through out the art world which showcased the emergence of young artists that have diverse backgrounds, views and appearances and gave them a home and a voice that helped build their unique identities.
