CAN TV is Chicago's local access network television station and organization. It was established in 1983 to promote the use of Chicago's public access channels by its citizens. It lets locals get training in video production and equipment and also gives them airtime on television. It is a nonprofit organization and has won numerous local,state and national awards. It is considered one of the finest local television access centers in all of America. CAN TV has five local channels that reach 1 million viewers in Chicago.
