Brookings Institution is an American based, non-profit public policy organization that was founded in 1916 and is based in Washington, D.C and is considered to be one of Washington's oldest think tanks. When Brookings Institution was initially founded it was to become 'the first private organization devoted to analyzing public policy issues at the national level.' Brookings Institution represents itself as a non-partisan entity with scholars that represent many diverse points. Brookings Institution also publishes an annual report.
