Betsy Johnson is an American clothing designer from Wethersfield, Connecticut. Born in 1942, Betsy Johnson has become one of the most radical women's clothing designs. She is known for her lavish, over-the-top, feminine, and whimsical designs. Her love of fashion blossomed as a child when she was enrolled in many dance classes. It was these dance classes that inspired her love of costumes. To this day she tries to incorporate the freedom of costumes into the everyday clothing of the streets. Betsy's radical designs and vibrant colors have taken her fashion lines to hundreds of retail locations all over the world.
