BBC Three is the third channel launched by the British Broadcasting Corporation. Founded in 2003, the station's aim is to present programming to young audiences regarding emerging technology and various other topics. In the early days of the channel, viewers could watch the popular series EastEnders on BBC Three before it aired on BBC One. The now popular world wide television series Little Britain began on BBC Three before the popularity of the show brought it to BBC One and eventually to HBO in the United States.
