Athena is a branded line of documentary home video products that was launched in 2009 by the Acorn Media Group. Their videos give rich and enjoyable learning experiences through high quality, informative non fiction programs to interested consumers. Athena is Acorn's third branded home video line. Their others are Acorn which specializes in British television programming and Acacia which specializes in health and wellness programming. Athena's first four documentary releases were The Adventures of English, Playing Shakespeare, Every Picture Tells a Story and The People's Republic of Capitalism. Acorn planned to release 10 DVDs through Athena in 2009 and to have the releases available at select retailers as well as on their own website. MORE
