Neil Young is a famous Canadian singer songwriter who was born November 12th, 1945. He is widely considered one of the most influential musicians of his entire generation. He began as a solo artist working in Canada in 1960. He moved to California in 1966 where he met Stephen Still and co-founded the band 'Buffalo Springfield' with him. He then joined 'Crosby, Stills & Nash' in 1969. Young's career has continued since then, spanning over 40 years and 34 studio albums. His music is known for impressive guitar work with a ragged yet melodic sound, personal and powerful lyrics and a signature falsetto/tenor singing voice. He has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice; once as a solo artist and second as a member of 'Buffalo Springfield.' His main sounds are acoustic folk and country rock, but he's experimented with swing, electronic music, alternative rock and even grunge throughout his career a well. On top of his musical career he has also directed and co-directed numerous films under the pseudonym 'Bernard Shakey' such as 'Journey Through the Past,' 'Rust Never Sleeps,' 'Human Highway,' 'Greendale,' and 'CSNY/Deja Vu.'MORE
