Lil Jon

Lil Jon, originally born as Jonathan Smith, was born on January 27th, 1971 in the Atlanta, GA, United States. His ascent in the rap industry began as a producer and rapper in the So Def Label, by Germaine Dupri. He was associated with this venture from the year 1993 to 2000, for a good seven years. He ventured into the club remixes genre in the mid 1990s and made a name for himself as a producer. Soon, he formed his own band which he christened 'Lil Jon and the East Side Boyz'. Besides Lil Jon himself, the band comprised of eminent names like Big Sam and Lil Bo who have already established themselves successfully in this genre. For the purpose of showcasing the talents and offerings of this brand new band, Lil Jon and the East Side Boyz selected the Mirror Image Records for entering into a contract.
