Korn

Korn is a heavy metal band formed by founding members Jonathan Davis, Fieldy, Munky, and Head. Korn formed in the early 1990s and ushered in a new era in mainstream rock music by incorporating hip hop and funk influences into the heavy metal genre. The group gained acclaim in the metal world with the release of their first self-titled album in 1994. Two years later Korn released Life is Peachy which gained steam with the strength of the hit single "A.D.I.D.A.S.". In 1998, Korn broke through to mainstream success with the release of the album Follow the Leader which reached number one on the Billboard charts. Songs like "Got the Life" and "Freak on a Leash" gave Korn a whole new audience with success on MTV's normally pop-dominated countdown show, Total Request Live. Korn has continued their popularity into the new millennium with albums like Issues, Untouchables, and an MTV Unplugged appearance.
