Bob Dylan

Bob Dylan is American folk singer songwriter who gained acclaim in the 1960s when his songs became symbolic of civil unrest in the United States. Songs like "Blowin' in the Wind", "The Times They are a-changing", and "Like a Rolling Stone" became pseudo anthems for youth culture in anit-war and pro-civil rights protests. Bob Dylan started off his career writing simple songs in the style of older folk artists that he loved, but happen to strike a chord with the modern youth with his poetic lyrics. Bob Dylan sparked controversy in 1965 when the normally acoustic artists "went electric" causing fans to boo the artist and shout claims of Dylan "selling out". This incident did not seem to hurt his career, however, as to this day Bob Dylan is touted as one of the greatest songwriters of all time.
