Wizard of Oz is a silent movie from 1925. The film was directed by and stars Larry Semon as a farmhand disguised as a scarecrow. The toy maker (Larry Semon) makes a scarecrow doll for his granddaughter, who is curious to learn about the world of Oz. He tells her that after the princess of Oz was snatched from her crib, Prime Minister Kruel (Josef Swickard) masterminded the plot to get rid of the baby princess. Helping Kruel with his evil plan are Ambassador Wikked (Otto Lederer), Lady Vishuss (Virginia Pearson), and the Wizard (Charles Murray).
