Windtalkers is a WWII-based movie directed and produced by John Woo. It tells the story of the message coding system used during the war, based on the Navajo language. After suffering serious injuries during the combat against the Japanese Army on Solomon Island, Cpl. Joe Enders (Nicholas Cage) is sent back home and receives the Purple Heart medal. After his recovery, to get back to work, he needs to take an audition test, which he passes thanks to the help of pharmacist Rita (Frances O'Connor). Then he ascends to the rank of Sergeant, and he is sent to the battlefield again to carry out a new assignment. On this mission, Sergeants Enders and Ox Anderson (Christian Slater) are assigned to protect Pvt. Ben Yahzee (Adam Beach) and Pvt. MORE [EDIT]
