Wind and the Lion is a 1975 adventure film based on a true story and starring Sean Connery. The film takes place in 1904 Morocco, a turbulent country where Berber revolutionaries fight to topple the government. The leader of the Berbers, Mulai Ahmed er Raisuli (Sean Connery), kidnaps an American woman, Eden Perdicaris (Candice Bergen), and her children as a ploy to spark international action against the Moroccan government. The children have some affection for their kidnapper, but Perdicaris loathes him until he rescues them from a botched escape attempt.
