We Own the Night is a crime drama and thriller that was directed by James Gray and produced in 2007 by Columbia Pictures and 2929 Productions. The movie is based in Brooklyn during the late 1980's. At this time crime was a major part of the town, especially drug related crime. The two main characters are brothers who have chosen very different lives for themselves. There is Joe Grusinsky (Mark Wahlberg) who followed his father to New York's Finest and became a police officer. Then there is Bobby Green (Joaquin Phoenix) who manages a nightclub in the area with hopes of making it big. Joe's police work requires him to investigate some drug cases and he asks Bobby to help gather intelligence but Bobby declines his offer. This prompts MORE [EDIT]
