Wake of the Red Witch, based on a novel by Garland Roark, follows a 19th century sea captain, Captain Ralls (John Wayne), through the East Indies as he seeks revenge against a rich shipping magnate, Mayrant Ruysdaal Sidneye (Luther Adler). Adrfit and needing rescue, Ralls is picked up by Sidneye. They then meet and fall in love with the same woman, Angelique Desaix (Gail Russel). Ralls and Sidneye fight over Angelique as well as setting the course of the ship. Ultimately, Sideneye wins out setting Ralls on a path to revenge. Ralls hatches a plan to get Sidneye's gold bullion aboard the ship the Red Witch. Aided by his good friends, Sam Rosen (Oscar winner Gig Young) and Antonio "Ripper" Arrezo (Paul Fix), Ralls works to win MORE [EDIT]
