Wait Up Harriet

Wait up Harriet, released in 2006, is an independent film drama directed by Angus Benfield and Hanna Eichler and produced by Limelight Motion Picture Company. Filmed in New Zealand, this movie depicts the story of a recently widowed firefighter Jack (Angus Benfield) deeply grieving for his wife Harriet (Melanie Cannan). Jack believes there is little reason to go on. Harriet's friend and spiritual advisor, Marty (Lynda Milligan) reaches out and befriends Jack. The road to healing finally begins when Jack begins to deal with the loss of his wife and build a relationship with his 12-year-old son, Todd (Mitch Potts). Jack's fragile state of recovery unravels when faced with a discovery about his wife that death could not contain. What is revealed plunges Jack into a dark, deep mental and emotional crevasse.
